Sophie Snider is a senior on the home stretch of her BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University. She is currently participating in the NYC Tepper semester, after having previously studied abroad in London at Shakespeare’s Globe. A small town girl who leads with her inner Leo.

Originally from Mount Airy, Maryland, she is an alum of the Baltimore School for the Arts where she studied acting. It shaped her perspective and approach as an artist, and was the confirmation on her path of pursuing theatre for a living. Now a fresh face to New York City, where she’s dreamed of living since her visit to the American Girl doll store at the age of ten. It was that serious. A lover of live music, natural hair, antique browsing with an iced latte in hand, and dressing up with nowhere to go.

Recently, she made her professional principal debut as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer at Cortland Reperatory Theatre. Other favorite credits include Bernarda Alba (Adela), Hedda Gabler (Thea) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Ensemble).
